Enrolments 2025-2026

Enrolment Policy

The Policy on enrolment in the Brussels European Schools for the 2025/2026 school year is currently being updated.

It will be published on the 3 January 2025 on the

Office of the Secretary General of the European Schools’ website under “Enrolments > Policy on enrolment in the European Schools”.

Practical information

Enrolment will take place online through our Enrolment Portal. The link to the Enrolment Portal is not communicated outside the Enrolment Phases, but will be communicated to applicants at the beginning of Phase I.

It will be available on the intranets of the European institutions and upon request  to the enrolment secretariats of the Brussels schools/sites.

For your information: Children already enrolled for the ongoing school year will be enrolled automatically for the following school year: No re-enrolment is necessary.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION

The European Schools in Brussels are primarily intended for the children of the staff of the European institutions.  Consult the admission conditions & terms here.

 

AGE REQUIREMENT

  • Pupils are admitted to the Nursery school at the beginning of the school year in September of the calendar year in which the child reaches four (4) years of age.
  • Pupils are admitted to Primary year 1 at the beginning of the school year in September of the calendar year in which the child reaches six (6) years of age .

 

LEVEL REQUIRED FOR ACCEPTANCE

To determine the level at which your child should be enrolled in the European Schools, we invite you to consult the Table of equivalence of teaching levels/grade groups before submitting your enrolment application.
