Enrolments 2024-2025

  • ENROLMENT POLICY

The 2024/2025 Enrolment Policy in the Brussels European Schools is available on the website of the European Schools (www.eursc.eu ) under “Enrolments in the European Schools.

Children who attended the school during the school year 2023/2024 will be automatically enrolled for the school year 2024/2025.

 

  • CALENDAR AND ENROLMENT PROCEDURE

The procedure is organised in two steps:

  1. Eligibility Request via the Enrolments Portal to access the online form.
    • N.B.: If you have already received this link and you have an account, it is not necessary to submit a new eligibility request. Your account remains valid for 10 years.
  2. Then submission of the enrolment or transfer application once access to the portal has been granted.

 

Step 1

The eligibility request MUST be submitted:

1st enrolment phase mandatory from 8 January to 29 January 2024 from 08:00 to 16:00 (Brussels time)
2nd enrolment phase from 21 May 2024 to 21 August 2024 from 08:00 to 16:00 (Brussels time)

Step 2

The enrolment or tranfer request must be submitted within the deadlines below:

Information about the online enrolment procedure, as well as the link to the enrolments portal, is available on the intranets of the European institutions (My IntraComm, the European Parliament’s intranet, Domus, EESC Intranet, My CoR, EEAS Intranet, etc.) and also from the enrolments secretariat of the Brussels school/site corresponding to the first preference expressed.

  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION

The European Schools in Brussels are primarily intended for the children of the staff of the European institutions.  Consult the admission conditions & terms here.

 

  • AGE REQUIREMENT
  • Pupils are admitted to the Nursery school at the beginning of the school year in September of the calendar year in which the child reaches four (4) years of age.
  • Pupils are admitted to Primary year 1 at the beginning of the school year in September of the calendar year in which the child reaches six (6) years of age .

 

  • LEVEL REQUIRED FOR ACCEPTANCE

To determine the level at which your child should be enrolled in the European Schools, we invite you to consult the Table of equivalence of teaching levels/grade groups before submitting your enrolment application.

 

  • LINGUISTIC SECTIONS

 

SWALS pupils for whom no language section corresponding to their mother tongue/dominant language exists in the European Schools of Brussels, for the desired cycle and level, are attached to the DE, EN or FR language sections.

For our school, these are Slovak pupils (SK) if they request and meet the conditions for the regrouping of siblings of Article 8.2. of the 2024-2025 Policy on Enrolment (see also Articles 6.8., 6.9. , 6.11 et 6.24 of the Policy).

 

  • OPEN DOOR DAYS

For security reasons, EEB3 does not organize individual visits to the school.

A first Welcome meeting for new parents and pupils who have  been attributed a place at our school will take place in June 2024.

For those who will be enrolled in phase 2, the school will organise a second welcome meeting beginning of September 2024.
